How do I know if I have a small or large chip card?
Credit and debit cards typically feature an embedded microchip on the front. This chip is a critical security feature, and its size can vary. Most commonly, you'll encounter two sizes: the large chip and the small chip. Here's how to differentiate between them:
- Large Chip: Usually measures about half an inch across. It's quite noticeable and takes up a significant portion of the card's real estate.
- Small Chip: Significantly smaller than its counterpart, measuring less than half the size of the large chip. It's subtle and blends more seamlessly with the card's design.
